“The Stonecutter”

A stonecutter was unhappy. He wished to be powerful—like the sun. Then he became the sun. But clouds blocked him. So he became the cloud. Then the wind blew him away. So he became the wind. But he couldn’t move a mountain.

So he became the mountain.

Then he felt a chisel on his side. It was a stonecutter.

The story reminds us: sometimes we already are what we’re meant to be—we just don’t realize it.
