“The Pencil’s Lesson”

A boy watched his grandmother write a letter. “I wish I could write like you,” he said.

She smiled and handed him the pencil. “This pencil can teach you five important lessons,” she said.

“First, everything you do leaves a mark.
Second, you can always correct your mistakes.
Third, what matters most is what’s inside.
Fourth, in life, you’ll face sharpening—pain—but it will make you better.
And fifth, use everything you have with purpose.”

The boy never forgot.
Not because of the pencil—
But because someone believed he could write his own story.
