n a dense forest, a mighty oak tree once stood tall, boasting about its strength to a young bamboo shoot nearby.
“Look at me,” said the oak. “I am unshakable. I can withstand any storm.”
The bamboo simply smiled and continued to grow, quietly and patiently.
Years passed, and the bamboo stretched higher, still thin and flexible, while the oak grew even prouder and stouter.
One summer, a fierce storm rolled in. The wind howled and tore through the forest. The oak, rigid and proud, resisted with all its might — until finally, it cracked and crashed to the ground.
The bamboo, however, bent low, swaying with the wind. It yielded but never broke. When the storm passed, the bamboo stood tall once again.
The lesson?
Strength isn’t always about standing tall and rigid — sometimes, true strength is the ability to bend, adapt, and rise again.
